donation to Sight For Surrey

Bob Hancock Intendant General for Surrey together with E Kt Bob Tuthill, Hon Divisional Photographer attended a Sight for Surrey training seminar at The Christian Church Hall in Dorking on 4th February. The IG's mission was to complete the commitment he made some 18 months ago to match the Grand Imperial Conclaves £2,500 donation to the charity.

A delighted Chief Executive for Sight for Surrey received a cheque for £2300 on behalf of the charity. Added to an earlier donation of £200 this fulfilled the promise. Bob Hughes on behalf of the charity thanked the Surrey Red Cross division for their generous support.

Over 4000 Surrey residents, many young children, receive live changing support from the organisation. This money together with the donation from The Grand Sovereigns Fund donation helped in purchasing state of the art computer and viewing aid equipment which was demonstrated at the visit.

The IG said that the donation was the result of a tremendous effort by the members of the Surrey conclaves and demonstrated the commitment of Freemasons to support charities in their community.
