Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund makes donation
Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund receive donation from The Red Cross of Constantine, Division of Surrey

R Ill Kt Bob Hancock Intendant General for the Division of Surrey together with Worthy Knight Kevin McSorley and the Division's much travelled photographer P Knight Bob Tuthill met with Mrs Karen Jackson the Chairman, Trustee and Founder of the Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Reading on 14th August where she received a cheque for £2500.00 from the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund in support of the charity.

Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund receive donation from The Red Cross of Constantine, Division of Surrey This small Charity was the inspiration of Karen whose young children Chloe and Sophie are both profoundly deaf. The Charities principal aims are to brighten the lives of deaf children by providing resources and equipment for deaf children to support their emotional upbringing.

The charities work in this important field supporting deaf children was brought to the attention of the Division of Surrey by Worthy Knight Kevin who has donated monies to them through his time as Master of Camberley Lodge.

Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund receive donation from The Red Cross of Constantine, Division of Surrey Bob Hancock said “I am extremely delighted to be able to present this cheque on behalf of the Grand Sovereign, to Karen in support of this very important charity which she has been instrumental in establishing”.

Karen responded saying that she was overwhelmed to receive such a fabulous amount of money which will be put to good use for the deaf children of Surrey and the surrounding counties. She also praised the charitable work of Freemasons saying that this donation and others from within Masonry has made her and her supporters very much aware of the valuable work Masons do in supporting charitable organisations.
